EIAR Services
Wave Dynamics provides specialist EIAR services for planning applications and development projects across Ireland and the UK. With offices in Dublin, Wexford, Cork, Belfast and London, and a strong presence in Galway, we prepare robust, evidence-based Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) chapters and technical assessments that support successful planning submissions and sustainable development.
Our experienced team works with planning consultants, architects, developers, engineers and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality environmental assessments from early project scoping through to planning submission and post-planning compliance. Whether you require a standalone technical chapter or specialist input as part of a wider EIAR team, we provide practical, planning-focused advice tailored to your project.
Specialist EIAR Support for Planning Applications
Wave Dynamics provides specialist EIAR support for planning applications across residential, commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, infrastructure and energy developments.
Our services include EIAR scoping, baseline surveys and monitoring, technical assessments for Waste, Climate, Air Quality, Noise & Vibration, and Population & Human Health, standalone EIAR chapter preparation, mitigation strategy development, multidisciplinary technical support, responses to Requests for Further Information (RFI), and post-planning environmental compliance.
We deliver robust, evidence-based EIAR assessments that support successful planning applications and compliance with current environmental legislation and planning policy.
Population and Human Health
Wave Dynamics prepares comprehensive Population and Human Health Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) Chapters for developments across Ireland and the UK. Our assessments evaluate the potential effects of proposed developments on local communities, residential amenity, public health and quality of life, helping to support planning applications and environmental approvals.
Our specialists assess how environmental factors associated with a development may influence human health and community wellbeing, including considerations such as noise, vibration, air quality, lighting, traffic and wider amenity impacts. Using a risk-based and evidence-led approach, we identify potential significant effects, assess the sensitivity of affected populations and develop practical mitigation measures to minimise impacts during both construction and operational phases.
Working closely with project teams, planners and technical specialists, we prepare clear, robust and planning-compliant assessments that demonstrate how potential health and wellbeing effects have been considered throughout the design process.
Air Quality EIAR Chapters
Wave Dynamics prepares comprehensive Air Quality Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) Chapters for developments across Ireland and the UK. Our specialists assess the potential air quality effects arising during both the construction and operational phases of a project, providing robust, planning-compliant assessments that support successful planning applications and environmental approvals.
Our assessments consider a wide range of potential air quality impacts, including construction dust emissions, road traffic emissions, operational and industrial emission sources, and their potential effects on nearby residential properties, schools, healthcare facilities and other sensitive receptors. Using recognised modelling methodologies and current Irish and UK guidance, we evaluate likely impacts, identify mitigation requirements and provide clear recommendations to protect air quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with planners, architects, engineers and environmental teams, we develop practical mitigation strategies that can be incorporated into project design and construction management plans, helping to minimise emissions and demonstrate compliance with environmental standards.
Climate EIAR Chapters
Wave Dynamics prepares comprehensive Climate Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) Chapters for developments across Ireland and the UK. Our specialists assess the potential climate effects of proposed developments during both construction and operational phases, providing robust, planning-compliant assessments that support sustainable development and informed decision-making.
Our assessments consider greenhouse gas emissions, embodied carbon, operational carbon, climate resilience, climate adaptation and future climate risks. Using current legislation, national policy objectives and recognised best-practice guidance, we evaluate how developments may both contribute to and be affected by climate change over their lifetime.
Working closely with project teams, planners and design consultants, we identify practical opportunities to reduce carbon emissions, improve climate resilience and support the transition to a low-carbon future. Our assessments provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that integrate seamlessly within the wider EIAR process and planning application framework.
Noise and Vibration EIAR Chapters
Wave Dynamics prepares comprehensive Noise and Vibration EIAR chapters supported by baseline surveys, predictive acoustic modelling and detailed impact assessments.
Our assessments cover construction and operational noise, vibration, plant and road traffic noise, together with practical mitigation measures and residual impact evaluations, delivering robust, planning-compliant reports that support planning applications while protecting sensitive receptors.
Material Assets Waste EIAR Chapters
Wave Dynamics prepares Material Assets Waste EIAR chapters that assess sustainable resource management throughout the construction and operational phases of development.
Our assessments cover construction and operational waste, resource efficiency, recycling and circular economy principles, waste management planning, and compliance with planning and environmental requirements, helping to support sustainable development and planning applications.
