Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs)
Wave Dynamics provides specialist Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs) across Ireland, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, supporting residential, commercial and mixed-use developments at all scales.
Our OWMPs are developed from early design and planning stages, ensuring waste management is fully integrated into the development layout, infrastructure and operational strategy. We assess anticipated waste streams, storage requirements and collection logistics to deliver practical, planning-compliant solutions aligned with local authority requirements and national waste regulations.
We deliver bespoke Operational Waste Management Plans tailored to each project, ensuring a robust and efficient approach to long-term waste management.
Our services include:
- Development of project-specific OWMPs for planning and condition discharge
- Detailed waste stream analysis and forecasting for residential and commercial uses
- Design of waste storage areas, collection strategies and access arrangements
- Strategies for waste reduction, reuse and recycling aligned with circular economy principles
- Full alignment with local authority guidance, Irish EPA requirements and UK planning policy
- Clear, measurable performance targets to support ongoing monitoring and reporting
Our OWMP consultancy supports projects across the full development lifecycle:
- Planning Stage – Preparation of OWMPs to support applications and planning submissions
- Design Stage – Integration of waste storage, access routes and collection systems into layouts
- Operational Stage – Development of efficient, compliant waste management systems for long-term use
This approach ensures waste infrastructure is deliverable, efficient and future-proofed, avoiding redesign and compliance issues at later stages.
