Project Overview

Wave Dynamics provided acoustic consultancy and environmental monitoring services for Goatstown Educate Together Secondary School, located on Goatstown Road, Dublin 14, at the former Irish Glass Bottle Recreation (IGBR) site. During the planning application stage for the proposed permanent 1,000-pupil school, Wave Dynamics undertook baseline environmental noise surveys, construction noise impact assessments, predictive modelling, and developed targeted mitigation strategies. The project involves the demolition of an existing derelict structure and the construction of a new two-storey, 15-classroom school building, with all assessments aligned to relevant Irish and international standards.
In parallel, Wave Dynamics supported the delivery of the temporary modular school campus through a comprehensive construction environmental monitoring programme, including continuous noise, dust, air quality, and vibration monitoring. This ensured compliance with planning conditions while minimising disruption to nearby residential receptors. The dual involvement across both temporary and permanent phases demonstrates Wave Dynamics’ expertise in acoustic consultancy, construction noise monitoring, and environmental compliance for school developments in Dublin and across Ireland.
